Bill Butler, a partner in the Commercial Property team at Brachers, has been included in the 2026 Thomson Reuters Stand‑Out Lawyers list. The list is based entirely on Thomson Reuters’ annual Sharplegal survey, which asks over 2,000 senior legal buyers to nominate the three most outstanding lawyers they have worked with in the last three years. All nominees are put forward directly by their clients, with no law firm involvement.

The recognition reflects genuine client satisfaction and showcases each lawyer’s exceptional quality of work and commercial awareness, their ability to provide actionable, tailored and practical legal advice, their strong responsiveness and reliability, and their deep understanding of clients’ businesses and needs.

Bill Butler, Partner in the Commercial Property team at Brachers commented:

I’m honoured to be included in this year’s list, and grateful to the clients who put my name forward - it’s a privilege to support them on matters that are so important to their businesses. This recognition reflects the strength of our Commercial Property team and the relationships we build together.

Sarah Gaines, Head of the Commercial Property team at Brachers added:

It’s great to see Bill featured in The Stand-Out Lawyers list, which represents a substantial body of client opinion across the legal market. Recognition like this reflects the high standards our Commercial Property team strives for every day. We’re committed to delivering practical, commercially focused advice, and it’s rewarding to see that approach acknowledged through client feedback.

With over 25 years’ experience in commercial property law, Bill is recognised by clients for his commercial understanding and his expertise in combining practical legal advice with industry insight.
