Canterbury Accountant Triumphs Again In Rising Stars Awards

A Canterbury based accountant has been named in the prestigious Accountancy Age 35 Under 35 rankings – for a second time.
Eddi Taylor, Regional Managing Partner for UK top 10 accountancy firm Azets in the South East, is included in the 2025 listings which shines a spotlight on the profession’s rising stars.
He was also honoured in 2022, among young talent in the industry who had made significant contributions to their fields in their careers to date.
Eddi, who has been with Azets, the UK’s specialist business advisor to SMEs, in Kent for 12 years, was made a Partner at 29 and then Regional Managing Partner at 33, making him one of the youngest professionals to take on this senior leadership role within the firm.
His Accountancy Age citation reads: ‘Taylor’s career has been defined by his commitment to supporting colleagues at every stage of their journey. Known for his calm and approachable leadership style, he has mentored junior staff as they gain confidence, guided newly qualified accountants into management, and coached emerging leaders preparing to step into senior roles. His focus on unlocking potential and providing structured progression pathways has earned him wide respect across the firm.
‘As Regional Managing Partner, Taylor has set his sights on sustainable growth that balances commercial success with a people-first ethos. He plans to further embed mentoring into Azets’ culture, strengthen support for career development, and create new opportunities for staff to progress in ways that reflect their strengths rather than rigid career models.
‘Colleagues describe him as a leader of integrity who listens, empowers, and consistently brings out the best in others. Taylor’s inclusion in the 35 under 35 recognises a professional driving change not just through business results, but by shaping a modern, inclusive, and human-centred accountancy profession.’
Eddi, who started his career as a trainee in the Ashford office of Wilkins Kennedy, said: “I am honoured and humbled to have been listed among the 35 under 35 winners for a second time in three years.
However, although this is an individual award I want to pay tribute to the clients I’ve worked with throughout my career and my colleagues because it really is a team effort – for without staff engagement, talent retention, career progression and sheer hard work we would be nothing.”
In his own work Eddi has a diverse and growing portfolio, ranging from sole traders and owner-managed firms to SMEs and large corporates.
He is well known across the Kent and South East market for his broad sector experience and his particular insight into the property and construction, manufacturing and hospitality arenas.
