National, specialist education provider Fresh Start in Education has been recognised for its dedication to re-engaging young people unable to access mainstream education, with three Alterna Prestige Awards nominations.
The Provisions Plus+ awards programme recognises the exceptional individuals, teams, and services transforming lives across the alternative provision sector.
Fresh Start in Education has been nominated for the Innovation in Practice Award, which honours creative and forward-thinking approaches that improve student experiences and outcomes, and the Supporting Students and Families Award, which celebrates provision that goes beyond the student to positively support families, carers and wider networks.
Meanwhile, Sean England, Head of Innovation at the organisation, has been shortlisted for the Programme Development Award for his work around innovation and developing the STAND behaviour framework – a programme of digital courses launched by Fresh Start in Education to help parents, schools and educators respond to behaviour with confidence, consistency and care.
Taking place on 3rd July in Solihull, West Midlands, the awards ceremony is set to be an evening of celebration, recognition, connection and inspiration, honouring the dedicated teams and individuals in the industry who are making a real difference.
Speaking ahead of the final, the company’s CEO Ed Robbins said: “To be recognised alongside so many dedicated individuals and organisations across the sector is a real privilege. At Fresh Start in Education, everything we do is driven by a simple belief: every child and young person deserves access to education, regardless of their circumstances. These nominations reflect the commitment, passion and expertise of our incredible team and the local authorities, schools and families we work alongside every day.
“Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate us and congratulations to all those who have made it through to the Judges’ Round. We’re looking forward to celebrating the outstanding work taking place across the sector on 3rd July.”
