Kent based Hoama Group has secured £18.2 million in funding from Cynergy Bank to support the development of Meadow View Care & Living, an innovative purpose-built 70-bedroom care community in Staplehurst, Kent, representing one of the group's most significant investments in specialist care to date.

The new development will be built adjacent to Hoama Group's existing Iden Manor Nursing Home, building on more than four decades of experience in providing high-quality care.

Meadow View Care & Living has been designed to respond to the growing demand for high-quality residential, nursing, dementia and complex care, while also creating one of the country's few specialist communities for older Deaf people who communicate primarily using British Sign Language.

Designed around therapeutic environments, wellbeing, independence and connection, the home will provide 70 spacious en-suite bedrooms alongside thoughtfully designed communal spaces, landscaped gardens, balconies and modern facilities that encourage residents to remain active, engaged and connected with family, friends and the wider community.

Sustainability is central to the development, with solar panels, air source heat pumps and energy-efficient building technologies incorporated throughout the design to reduce environmental impact while creating a comfortable, future-ready home.

Meadow View Care & Living represents a significant investment in the future of health and social care, strengthening Hoama Group's ability to support local communities and NHS services through increased specialist care capacity.

The development will create around 100 new jobs, reflecting Hoama Group's long-standing commitment to investing in local people and continuing to be an employer of choice within the health and social care sector.

Planning permission has already been secured, with construction expected to commence shortly.

Umbreen David, Managing Director of Hoama Group, said:

" This is a milestone I've worked towards for many years. Meadow View isn't simply another care home, it is a vision for how people experience later life.

We believe exceptional care begins with exceptional environments. Every aspect of Meadow View Care & Living has been designed to help people live with dignity, purpose and choice, while giving families complete confidence that their loved ones are receiving outstanding care.

As demand for specialist care continues to grow, we wanted to create something that looks beyond today's needs and anticipates those of tomorrow. From specialist dementia care and complex nursing to one of the UK's few dedicated British Sign Language communities for older Deaf people, Meadow View has been designed to meet changing needs with compassion, innovation and excellence.

This development is also about supporting our wider community. By creating additional specialist care capacity, we can help people access the right care sooner, support families at difficult times and work alongside NHS and community health services to improve outcomes.

Securing this funding allows our vision to become reality, and we're incredibly grateful to Cynergy Bank for sharing our confidence in what Meadow View Care & Living will achieve.

For us, this is about creating a place where people can continue to live meaningful lives, where families feel welcomed and reassured, and where our colleagues have the opportunity to deliver exceptional care in an environment designed to help people thrive. "

Simon Vallance, Relationship Director at Cynergy Bank, said:

" We are pleased to support Hoama Group with the funding for Meadow View Care & Living, an ambitious development that will expand access to high-quality specialist care for local communities. The project reflects Hoama Group's clear commitment to delivering high-quality care, including provision for older Deaf people through a dedicated British Sign Language community.

“This transaction demonstrates Cynergy Bank's continued appetite to support experienced operators across the healthcare and senior living sectors with flexible funding solutions that support long-term growth and help deliver positive social impact. I would like to thank Kate Finney and Laura Solecki for their support throughout the transaction and their contribution to delivering this funding for Hoama Group. "

The funding agreement marks a significant milestone in Hoama Group's continued growth and long-term commitment to investing in innovative, person-led health and social care. Meadow View Care & Living will build on the success of Iden Manor Nursing Home, creating a future-focused care community designed to meet the evolving needs of older people for generations to come.
