Home Bargains has invested approximately £7 million into its new store, ‘Ashford 2’, located on Fougeres Way, Ashford, which officially opened on Saturday 7th February, 2026.
As one of the UK’s largest family-run retailers, Home Bargains is creating 87 new jobs in the local community with its new store in Ashford, with around 75 of these being new hires
The new ‘Ashford 2 store will complement the existing Ashford store and over 600 outlets across the UK. Opening approximately 50 stores a year, Home Bargains is bucking current trends in the industry.
Lee Scott, the new Ashford 2 store manager, said: “Opening this store is an exciting moment. I’m proud to be part of Home Bargains and looking forward to building a great team and serving our community from day one."
The 29,568 sq. ft store, will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food. The Ashford 2 store will also be home to a Home Bargains bakery, café and garden centre.
Lee scott added: “Our second Ashford location will be a great store for us, and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
