Kent Communications Firm Recognised In Regional and National Awards

Red and White Media Limited has been named as ‘Copywriting Service of the Year

A Margate-based copywriting and communications company has been recognised twice in two months. Red and White Media Limited were named as the South England Prestige Awards 2025/26 Winner in the ‘Copywriting Service of the Year’ category in August. In September, Director Vikkie Richmond was awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ runner-up spot in the ‘Copywriter of the Year’ category at the Digital Women Awards 2025.

Founded in 2023, Red and White Media provides communications specialist knowledge to sole traders, small businesses and larger organisations across the UK. Managing Director, Vikkie Richmond, said:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to bits that Red and White Media has been recognised in this way. Starting a new business from the ground up is so hard, so it’s fantastic to be acknowledged for the work we do in only our second year of trading. Communications is a vital part of any business, and whether you’re talking to colleagues or clients, it’s essential to get it right.”

Since its official launch in November 2024, Red and White Media has worked with clients across various sectors, from sole traders to franchised small businesses and an international hospitality chain. They provide specialist support to internal communications teams and to directors, marketing leads, and small business owners who want to take a more strategic approach to communication with their staff, clients and customers.

Vikkie said:

“We started life as copywriters who also offered social media and digital marketing services to small businesses in the local area. In my day-to-day communications with clients, networking colleagues and peers, I realised that many larger firms are facing budget constraints and recruitment issues. This means they’re swamped with work and aren’t able to communicate as effectively as they would like with their internal audiences.

I spotted an opportunity to diversify, and straight away we gained an international hospitality client with whom we work as fractional internal communications specialists.”

Vikkie is a copywriter and a qualified social media marketer, although she has a corporate background in administration. This is her second business; for five years, until November last year, she ran a successful virtual assistant (VA) franchise territory in East Kent.

Vikkie holds Associate-level membership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC). Her specialism is tone-of-voice, brand-led communication. She is also a founder member of Digital Women, a Kent-based organisation that supports and empowers women in the digital and tech industries by providing training, networking opportunities, and recognition for their achievements.

These efforts address the underrepresentation of women in tech and the challenges they face, such as a lack of career progression and skills gaps, by creating communities and events. Vikkie was the recipient of one of ten ‘Community Champion’ awards at the Digital Women Awards 2025, in recognition of her support for and promotion of the DW community.
