Kent Networking Group Launches Free Learning and Development Opportunity For Businesses

Synergy Business Academy will be a resource for business owners and start-up founders

A Kent-based networking group has expanded its offering to create a training hub specifically designed for business owners and start-up founders. The Synergy Business Academy (SBA) was created to provide accessible and free training to help businesses thrive.

Founded in July 2025, SBA will run alongside Synergy Networking Events, which is co-owned by Kent entrepreneurs Linda Cloke, and Chris and Laura Endersby. Linda said:

“As a serial entrepreneur, I’ve wished a million times that I knew what I know now when I launched my first business over twenty-five years ago. The Synergy Business Academy will enable founders and directors to address any knowledge and skills gaps, and help with mindset and motivation.”

Since its launch, nearly 100 people have joined the Academy, many of whom are also Synergy Networking members; they will provide the knowledge sessions, which will cover a wide range of topics: from mindset to outsourcing, to succeeding on social media, and a whole lot more.

This is my way of giving back to the business community, and also to highlight the vast skills and knowledge of Synergy Networking members.

Speaking of her decision to launch SBA as a Facebook group, Linda said:

“We wanted to create something unique and free that all business owners and entrepreneurs could access, not just in Kent, but from anywhere in the UK,” Linda said. “Most people have a Facebook account, so all they have to do is log in and go straight to the group for the live sessions. Synergy members will be presenting on a range of topics, and people can also watch the recordings in their own time. Members will be available to answer any questions, post-event.”

The aim was to create a safe space community where no question goes unasked, and anyone is welcome to tap into the knowledge of the group. The first live session took place on Thursday, 7th August, where Transformative Coach Denise Holland delivered a talk on mindset and overcoming impostor syndrome. Sessions are planned to be broadcast live on Thursday afternoons, and are free to watch. They’re also streamed via the Synergy Networking LinkedIn page.

Linda is a seasoned entrepreneur who is no stranger to founding new ventures. The highly successful dating agency, Click Singles, existed for nineteen years before Linda closed its doors due to the COVID pandemic. She also started the vibrant marketing agency, We Do Social Media, with her daughter, Elle, which was sold after ten phenomenal years of trading.

Synergy Networking Events was launched in October 2024 by Linda, along with Chris and Laura Endersby, the fourth-generation owners of 90-year-old Maidstone printing firm, Grammer & Co. Ltd. The club has grown quickly and now boasts over 130 members across the Kent Area, with more business owners and professionals joining every day.

While Synergy Networking is always happy to welcome new members, you don’t have to join to be a part of the SBA learning and development community.
