A UK travel company is linking tourism with environmental restoration and health awareness through two new charitable partnerships designed to demonstrate how businesses can contribute positively beyond their core activities.
PURE ONE, the Kent-based travel and experiences company, has announced collaborations with global reforestation organisation Evertreen and a charity supporting inflammatory arthritis awareness and research, combining environmental impact with support for important health causes.
The initiatives reflect a growing movement within the travel industry to integrate social responsibility and sustainability into business operations.
“Travel connects people with the world in extraordinary ways,” said Wesley Baker, Founder of PURE ONE. “But companies also have an opportunity to contribute positively to the planet and to society. These partnerships allow us to support both environmental restoration and important health awareness initiatives.”
Tourism and Reforestation
Through its partnership with Evertreen, PURE ONE is supporting global tree-planting programmes aimed at restoring ecosystems and helping combat environmental degradation.
Reforestation projects are increasingly recognised as an important tool in addressing climate challenges and biodiversity loss, with businesses across multiple industries supporting tree-planting initiatives as part of broader sustainability efforts.
PURE ONE says its involvement reflects a belief that tourism companies should contribute to protecting the destinations and natural environments that travellers explore.
“Nature is at the heart of many travel experiences,” Baker said. “Supporting reforestation initiatives is a way for us to give something back to the planet.”
Supporting Health Awareness
Alongside its environmental work, PURE ONE has also partnered with a charity focused on raising awareness and supporting research into inflammatory arthritis, a group of conditions affecting millions of people worldwide.
The collaboration aims to help highlight the challenges faced by those living with inflammatory arthritis while supporting initiatives that encourage greater understanding and research into the disease.
Responsible Travel as a Growing Trend
Across the travel sector, companies are increasingly looking for ways to combine tourism with meaningful social and environmental initiatives.
Industry observers say travellers themselves are also becoming more conscious of how their travel choices impact communities, health causes and the environment.
For PURE ONE, the partnerships represent part of a wider vision for building a travel company that places responsibility alongside adventure and exploration.
“As a business we want to stand for something positive,” Baker added. “Travel should inspire people, but it can also support causes that matter.”
