MegaGrowth 50 recognises innovative companies that are driving strong economic growth across the county. The prestigious league table is based on the average turnover growth of privately owned businesses in Kent with a minimum turnover of £1 million, as recorded in their full accounts filed at Companies House over the past four years. High‑performing businesses that did not file full accounts but met the criteria and applied for consideration were also eligible for inclusion.
This year’s table once again demonstrates the strength and diversity of Kent’s economy. Construction and building services businesses continue to be major drivers of growth, while the county’s farming and horticultural sectors, particularly fruit growers, are showing impressive momentum, underlining the importance of Kent’s rural economy.
This year’s top 50 was announced at a special presentation breakfast held at Tudor Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Maidstone.
Leading the table is Kingsheath Construction Ltd, achieving an outstanding 271.6% growth over the past year. Established in 2018, Kingsheath Construction has rapidly become a leading groundworks, civil engineering, demolition, and reinforced concrete frame contractor.
Jamie Pike, Managing Director of Kingsheath Construction, said: "We are very proud of our achievements in an extremely challenging market. Finishing first this year, in a list of very well respected companies, provides us with great satisfaction and will no doubt motivate us to excel further. Our sustained growth is testament to our team and their constant hard work and dedication. We continue to evolve bringing innovation and expertise to our clients."
For the second consecutive year, global defence logistics supplier S.C.A. Shipping Consultants Associated Ltd secured a place in the top three, with growth of 242.5%, followed by mechanical and electrical contractor Primech Building Services Ltd, which achieved growth of 227.2%.
