New Mediterranean Restaurant Ego Now Open in Gravesend

Ego, the Mediterranean restaurant and bar group, has officially opened the doors of a brand-new location in Gravesend.

The redesigned venue seamlessly blends Mediterranean rustic charm with contemporary interiors, offering a warm stylish setting for guests with an exceptional range of dishes inspired by the region, transporting them to the sun kissed shores of the Mediterranean.  

With its fresh look, the Ego at The Copperfield has transformed the former Stonehouse into a vibrant, welcoming dining space which now includes a refreshed bar, renovated kitchen, updated patio areas and beer garden. The restaurant can seat 134 covers in the internal dining area and up to 56 covers in the patio and beer garden areas outside.  

At Ego at The Copperfield, guests can savour a range of dishes from across the Mediterranean with a menu that’s inspired by the region’s sun-drenched coasts. There are plenty of tasty dishes to enjoy including the delicious Stone-baked Garlic Pizza Bread With Mozzarella, Coquilles St Jacques which features scallops and king prawns in a rich cheese sauce and Calamari Fritti. For dessert guests can choose from a selection of classic and modern dishes including Raspberry and Almond Frangipane Tart, Callebaut White Chocolate & Raspberry Crème Brulé or Lemon Tart.  

Guests can also enjoy cocktails and mocktails including Lemon Drizzle, a sweeter take on an Amaretto sour or the non-alcoholic Apple and Elderflower Fizz. Ego at The Copperfield also offers a selection of red and white wines such as Reserve Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon all of which can be enjoyed in the newly landscaped beer garden which offers guests a scenic view of the Thames Estuary when dining al fresco.
