Pauzewear, the independent streetwear brand founded by radio DJ, poet, and creative designer Gav Pauze, is gaining strong momentum following its official launch on 15 September 2025. With its dedicated website fully designed and built by Gav himself, the brand has already captured attention for its expressive artwork, roots-inspired storytelling, and its commitment to genuine, human-led customer care.
Pauzewear’s story began long before the brand name. In 2009, Gav launched Pauzeradio.com as an archive for his radio shows. Over the next decade the platform evolved into a respected space for roots and culture, vinyl fans, and creatives. Clothing drops first appeared in 2018, combining music-driven inspiration with conscious messaging and standout visuals.
A creative turning point arrived in 2024 when Gav teamed up with designer Pascal Ruegg, whose artwork helped shape the clothing line’s distinct aesthetic. As demand grew and the audience expanded, Gav saw the need for the clothing to become its own entity — leading to the creation of Pauzewear.
In 2025, Gav broadened his creative skills again, stepping into graphic design while building the brand’s entire website by hand. The result is a clean, authentic, mobile-first store that reflects the same attention, personality, and intention woven into each product.
Pauzewear focuses on premium materials, original artwork, and eco-friendly recyclable packaging. The brand is also committed to real, human communication - every message is personally answered by a member of the small UK team, with no bots or automated responses.
Pauzewear is about expression — through music, poetry, visuals, and culture,” says Gav Pauze, founder of Pauzewear. “I wanted to build a brand that feels real and connected, where every design has meaning. It’s clothing created with heart, not algorithms.
Looking ahead, Pauzewear is preparing new limited-edition drops for late 2025 and early 2026, with a continued focus on bold artwork, expanding its network of independent creatives, and developing fresh graphic-led collections. Gav is also working on new design collaborations that reflect the brand’s evolving creative voice.
