Stantons Solicitors Expands Presence in Kent

Stantons Solicitors, a well‑established family law firm based in Gravesend, has made two strategic acquisitions in 2025, significantly expanding its geographic reach, service capacity, and client base across Kent.
Stantons is a specialist family law practice located in Gravesend. Over the years, the firm has earned a reputation for client‑focused advice, clear fee structures, and a supportive approach to sensitive family matters. Its offerings include divorce and family law, wills and probate, conveyancing , and Notary services. Stantons already enjoys a solid standing in the local legal community. Its Review Solicitors rating is 4.8 / 5 (based on 59 reviews) for responsiveness, care and professionalism.
On 1 April 2025, Stantons formally took over Sharpe & Perl Solicitors of New Ash Green. Sharpe & Perl continues to operate from 23 The Row, New Ash Green, and offers a range of services including residential conveyancing, wills & probate, litigation, family law, and Notary services. This move gives Stantons a foothold further east in Kent, enabling them to serve clients in Dartford, Longfield, and the “Green Belt corridor” between Gravesend and those communities. It also allows clients in those locales to access Stantons’ family law and Notary expertise more readily, with local presence and familiarity. Stantons absorbed the staff, ongoing case files and client relationships of Sharpe & Perl to ensure continuity, prevent disruption to clients, and retain local trust.
More recently, on 1 October 2025, Stantons has taken over King Prior MacDonald Bridge Solicitors in Gravesend. This takeover was facilitated by the sole practitioner of that firm necessitating a transfer of client files, responsibilities and legal work to another firm to protect clients’ interests. King Prior, previously of 183 Parrock Street, Gravesend, DA12 1EN, now operates from Stantons Solicitors in Gravesend at 35-36 Windmill Street. By taking over King Prior, Stantons consolidates its presence in Gravesend and bolsters its capacity in property, probate and related legal areas. Stantons acquired the existing client base and staff from King Prior, ensuring continuity for clients who might otherwise have faced disruption.
With locations in New Ash Green, Meopham and deeper into Gravesend, Stantons can serve clients across a wider area, bridging gaps between communities in Dartford, Longfield, Gravesham and surrounding districts.
Client Testimonials

“We found Claire very approachable and helpful as well as the rest of the staff we came into contact with and would recommend your services to anyone who asks.”
“Thank you for your hard work through this very difficult divorce. You have been so helpful and good through every stage of the application, and I feel I was in very good hands all the way through.”
With the successful integration of two longstanding legal practices in 2025, Stantons Solicitors is poised to enter a new era of growth, service diversification, and regional leadership. With operations now extending from Gravesend to New Ash Green, Stantons can serve a significantly larger client base. This positions the firm to become a go-to name in North West Kent, not only for family law, but for private client work, conveyancing, probate and Notary services. By integrating the specialist knowledge and legacy of Sharpe & Perl and King Prior MacDonald Bridge, Stantons can offer a more comprehensive suite of services. Clients with interconnected legal needs (e.g., divorce and property, wills and estate planning) can now benefit from in-house continuity and a trusted, collaborative approach.
Despite expanding, Stantons maintains a commitment to its core values: clear communication, compassion, and care. Their reputation is built on personal service, and that remains central, even as they evolve to manage a broader portfolio of cases and client relationships. As Kent’s population grows and diversifies, legal needs will evolve. Stantons is now better positioned to address emerging issues, from property market shifts, elderly care planning, and blended family structures, to cross-border probate and alternative dispute resolution. With larger operations come greater opportunities for staff training, mentoring, and career progression.
Our growth this year has been driven by opportunity and responsibility,” says Claire Grylls, partner at Stantons. “We’re committed to preserving the legacies of the practices we have taken on, while building something stronger together. Our goal is to combine the trust of each local firm with the resources of a modern legal practice so we can serve our communities with excellence, empathy, and clarity, for years to come.
