Ten years ago, the first B Corps were certified in the UK. Today, a vibrant and diverse community of over 2,600 businesses is thriving - proving that purpose and profit can go hand in hand.

B Corps are leading the way in responsible business, embedding impact into governance, measuring what matters, and holding themselves accountable to people, communities, and the planet. This milestone is not just about looking back at achievements - it’s about looking forward, recognising that there is still much to do, and demonstrating that business can lead with values and purpose even in uncertain times.

As part of the national Take 10” campaign, B Corps across the UK are pausing to reflect, celebrate, and plan for the next decade of impact. In Kent, the local B Corp community marked this milestone with a celebration and networking event on Thursday, 13th November, bringing together businesses of all sizes to celebrate collective impact, share stories, and strengthen connections.

The evening also highlighted Kent’s two founding B Corps, Elvis and Kresse, and COOK, pioneers in the movement who shared reflections on the past ten years and facilitated discussion on the future of responsible business in the region.

Guests enjoyed interactive icebreakers, reflective conversations, and the chance to celebrate a decade of collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose.

“This event was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the incredible work of local B Corps, reflect on what we’ve achieved together, and look forward to shaping the next ten years of better business,” said Chris Turner, Chief Executive Officer, B Lab UK, who joined the event.

“We're trying to create difference and change. To have the vision of a world where business operates in a different way, in a better way for people and planet.” James Rutter, Chief Strategy Officer, COOK.

“Our story is actually quite simple; we rescue fire hose, we transform it into wonderful pieces, and then we donate half of the profits to firefighters. We became a founding UK B Corp, because we wanted our impact to be greater, to help build a community of businesses striving to be a force for good.” Kresse Wesling CBE, Co-founder, Elvis & Kresse.
